Northeast Youth & Family Services (NYFS) is a nonprofit, community-based, trauma-informed mental health and community services organization founded in 1976 and based at 3490 Lexington Ave N, Shoreview, MN 55126. We serve children, teens, families, and adults across the northeast St. Paul suburbs and the wider Twin Cities, in person, in partner schools, and by telehealth across Minnesota.
Our mission is transforming lives by ensuring access to care that nurtures healing, cultivates community, and inspires hope.
We partner with 16 municipalities and 3 school districts to provide comprehensive and cost-effective support to clients at all ages and stages of life. Our services include:
- Clinic-based and telehealth counseling for all ages
- School-Based Services
- Diversion programming for youth
- Community Connections programming for isolated youth
- Community Advocate services
- Domestic and Sexual Violence Advocacy and Therapy Services
- Psychological Assessments
As a nonprofit, NYFS reinvests in programs rather than distributing profit. Support from our 16 municipal partners and from community donors allows us to accept most insurance plans, offer a sliding fee scale, and provide care at low or no cost to people facing financial barriers.
