Isabela Mastel received her Master of Social Work from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota and is a Licensed Graduate Social Worker (LGSW). She works as a Clinic Based Therapist at our Shoreview location and incorporates trauma responsive and culturally responsive care into her practice. Isabela brings experience working with youth and families experiencing challenges and changes within the family system, trauma, PTSD, depressive disorders and areas of anxiety. She has a special interest in self-esteem/empowerment, systemic involvement in youth and family settings, and behavioral disorders.
Isabela uses an integrative and strengths-based approach specifically designed to meet each client’s needs. She aims to meet the client where they are at by creating a safe and welcoming environment that validates the client’s experience. Isabela believes that building a strong therapeutic alliance is done by incorporating choice and transparency into client care.
