Leah received her Master of Social Work from Augsburg University and is a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LICSW). She has many years of experience working with children and adolescents in various settings including, inpatient, residential, school-based and outpatient. She also has experience working with adults in group and individual capacities. Leah has knowledge working with trauma, domestic violence, depression, anxiety, anger management, life transitions, and grief and loss, among others.
Leah has been a clinical supervisor for many years and enjoys being a part of Leah has been trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Child Parent Psychotherapy, Circles of Security, and Child Centered Play Therapy. She also completed a two-year certification program at the Minnesota Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis in 2019. Leah works from a contemporary relational/psychodynamic perspective that focuses on attachment and prioritizes the therapeutic relationship. She takes a strength based, culturally responsive, client centered, trauma informed approach to all her work.
