Melanie received her Master of Social Work from Fordham University and is a Licensed Graduate Social Worker (LGSW). She works as a School Based Therapist at Wilshire Park Elementary School in St. Anthony. Melanie has experience working with grief and loss, anxiety and adjustment disorders, and post-traumatic stress related symptoms.
She is passionate about helping children, families, and schools navigate the effects of mental health and work proactively to support youth. Melanie has training in Child Centered Play Therapy and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy modalities. Melanie believes that the start of all good therapy is a solid, trusting relationship and she works to establish that with every individual and family she works with.
