Trisha received her Bachelor of Social Work from Northern Arizona University and her Masters of Social Work from the University of St. Thomas. In her role as Internship Program Supervisor, Trisha oversees NYFS’ intern cohort made up of students from across the country. She provides onboarding training, task supervision, and clinical supervision to our student interns in addition to her work as a clinician.
Trisha’s practice has centered around supporting children and families who have experienced abuse and trauma through advocacy as well as individual and group therapy services. She has experience and training using Child Centered Play Therapy and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy modalities to provide services to clients experiencing a variety of emotional and behavioral responses to traumatic events or environmental stress.
Trisha believes that the foundation of a successful therapy experience is a strong relationship and emphasizes choice and transparency when working with individuals and families.
